Agenda

Assessing the rights of minority groups in present day geopolitics

Executive Board

Chairperson: Vishnu Srinivasan

To say that Vishnu Srinivasan is a bundle of contradictions would be rather an understatement. A 6 foot, mile high, (notoriously) baby faced, walking, talking encyclopaedia, Vishnu, with a lengthy MUN record of over 21 conferences, has come far, indeed, from the days of the precocious 9th grader whose words and clothes were too big for his frame. While he has, since, grown into his famous black blazer, his sharp wit has only grown sharper through years of deadly use (fair warning, delegates). An avid reader, impeccable orator, DC fan and all round excellent human being, there are few people who are better suited to handle the issues of human rights and their monumental implications than Vishnu.

Vice Chairperson: Akshay Aravindan

From being an introverted 10th grade kid who was literally forced to attend his first MUN, Akshay has definitely come a long way and has become a familiar face in the Chennai Model UN circuit. Those of you who have been with him in council might identify him as that tall, overly emoting and overly gesticulating delegate who manages to sway council onto his side. A third year Mechanical Engineering student from SSN College of Engineering, Akshay is a veteran of over 15 MUNs as a delegate ,an executive board member and a member of the organizing committee. He has created a niche for himself by playing the antagonistic role in most committees. Akshay loves to experiment with various MUN councils and has been in around 10 different ones with Best delegate awards in many of them. Fondly known as Mr.493, Akshay is a strong believer in hard work and meticulousness as tools for perfection. Self proclaimed science and music buff. With the help of his trusted Co-EB members, Akshay promises to make this conference one to remember, and lead HRC on the 'path of recommendations'.

Director: Srini Vasan

Mr Srinivasan is a second year Engineering student of Electronics & Communication discipline. He was introduced to MUNs at Hindustan Young Leaders Conference 2016 and has been actively participating in the field ever since. He has an excellent track record of 10MUNs with several awards spread across them. With an unparalleled dedication to research and understanding of Policy, His momentum is unstoppable barring acts of God or his allergy to peanuts . besides actively participating I speaking competitions like MUNs and more MUNs, Srinivasan is an avid gamer whose skills in God of War is so undeniably horrifying, so destructively unparalleled, so humiliatingly humbling it can be best summed up as "gg easy lol". Behind his cheerful and questionably goofy demeanour, you have before you the sincere and hardworking Srini Vasan
